The tour of the World Natural Heritage mangroves was very good, and the boatman's stories were interesting. The bus driver's explanation of Iriomote Island on the way was also informative. The buffalo ride was also interesting as it was my first experience. Lunch was not so good, but I was satisfied overall.
I was able to participate in the 100 meters with my son, 25, who is disabled, because he was 3 years old and up.
We were relieved to see that there were families with small children participating that day.
When it was our turn to join the tour, my son got scared, clung to the boat, and said he did not want to join the tour! I was about to give up, but then the staff members said, "Hang in there, hang in there! I managed to get on the board reluctantly (lol) and reluctantly (hilarious).
Once he was flying, he was smiling, as if he was having a good time.
He was holding the belt tightly, though.
Thank you so much to the staff and everyone who was on the boat with us that day...it was a great experience and we are very happy.
The weather was perfect and we were able to canoe and snorkel, two of my favorite activities!
We were very happy with the mangroves and the various explanations we received while viewing them.
The snorkeling day went by in a blink of an eye as we were impressed by the table corals and the blue of the ocean.
We had about 2 hours from morning and afternoon break up to ferry time, but this time is reasonable. We ate dinner, walked around, had tea, visited supermarkets and beaches, etc. It was just right.
They were fun and attentive from start to finish! The brothers were all funny and easy to talk to! I got to know the other participants and felt a sense of togetherness~!
Next time, I would like to participate when the weather is fine!
We are an active senior couple, 72 and 71 years old. While it was difficult to find a tour that would accept us due to age restrictions, we were accepted here and had a great experience. We were lucky and the weather was perfect. The staff were all really kind and gentle with us, so even though it was our first time, we were fine. I would recommend this tour to all active seniors. I recommend it.
