I was able to efficiently experience the charms of this World Natural Heritage site in just one day, and with a delicious lunch included, it turned out to be the perfect getaway to recharge.
The tour began with a mangrove cruise on the Nakama River, where I was overwhelmed by the vast natural landscape stretching as far as the eye could see and the myriad of rare plants. Next, I crossed over to Yubu Island while gently swaying on a leisurely water buffalo cart, spending a peaceful, tropical afternoon listening to the sound of the sanshin. Lunch was also absolutely delicious, and even someone like me, who isn’t particularly confident in my stamina, was able to enjoy the nature of Iriomote Island all day long without any trouble. It was a truly wonderful tour where every detail was taken care of.
The mangrove cruise was absolutely amazing!! It felt just like a jungle adventure—I was so excited!!! Riding a water buffalo cart to Yubu Island was so quintessentially Okinawan and seriously fun!! ★ Lunch was delicious, too—it was the best tour ever, and I couldn’t stop smiling all day!!
It went smoothly. The mangrove cruise and Yubu Island sightseeing were bundled together, so I was able to efficiently enjoy the World Natural Heritage sites on Iriomote Island. Lunch was included, and the arrangements were hassle-free. I’ll definitely use this service again.
My child was absolutely thrilled, with eyes sparkling with excitement, during our mangrove river cruise adventure. The guide gave entertaining explanations about rare plants and creatures we don’t usually see, and as a parent, I learned a great deal myself. We were completely soothed by the gentle rocking of the water buffalo cart as we crossed over to Yufu Island… With a delicious lunch included, it turned out to be a fantastic day where our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the World Natural Heritage site.
