Q. What should I be aware of when snorkeling in Ishigaki Island?

Note: (1) It is safest to take a tour.

The ocean of Ishigaki Island looks calm, but in some places there are strong currents called "rip currents," and the ocean conditions often change rapidly and waves often rise. It is not advisable to go out to the sea without safety gear for private (individual) use.Very dangerousIt is.

Participating in an activity tour with a local guide is the safest, most secure, and most enjoyable way to experience the area!

Note 2: Listen to the guide's explanations and instructions.

Guides will support you on the tour. The guide is a professional of the sea of Ishigaki Island. Listen to the guide's lecture and enjoy the tour safely.

Caution 3) Do not touch marine life.

The corals and fishes of Ishigaki Island are colorful and very attractive. I am sure some of them make you want to touch them,Do not touch living things.

In the case of coral, there is a possibility that a piece of coral may break off and kill you, or you may cut your skin on the surface of the coral and injure yourself. (If the coral's venom gets into the wound, you may suffer from severe dermatitis.)

That "phantom island" was super beautiful, lol. We got to do all the water sports we wanted, so I was totally hyped! Though, the sun was brutal, so it would've been even better if I'd had time to reapply my sunscreen, lol.
