What Is Kondoi Beach?

One of the top beaches in the Yaeyama Islands, which was ranked 6th in 2017 among Japan’s best beaches as chosen by TripAdvisor travelers.

On Taketomi Island,beach of star sandAlthough this beach is just as popular as the other one, it attracts more tourists and is even more popular. The white sand and crystal-clear, gently sloping waters make for a beautiful beach.

Also, since there are hardly any waves, it’s a great spot for families to go swimming. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Things to Do at Kondoi Beach

While Kondoi Beach is a great spot for swimming, I don’t recommend it for snorkeling because the sandy seabed extends far out, so you won’t be able to see tropical fish or coral reefs if you’re looking to do some serious snorkeling.

It is also famous as a sightseeing route, and sometimes tours are offered that combine bike rentals and water buffalo cart rides.
