Ishigaki Island has boats operating to each island. Hateruma Island is one of them. Hateruma Island has the southernmost beach in Japan, Nishi Beach. This beach is about 1.5 km long and is characterized by pure white, fine sand. Because it is the southernmost point of the island and the island itself has not been developed much, the nature remains untouched.

Aragusuku Island is located at the western end of Japan, south-east of Iriomote Island. This island belongs to the Yaeyama Islands in the Ishigaki and Iriomote Island children's songs. Another name for Aragusuku Island is Panari Island. Panari" means "apart" in the local language, and is so called because it consists of islands divided into upper and lower sections.
Since there are no scheduled flights to Aragusuku Island, it is recommended to access the island by tour. Because the island is so far from Ishigaki and Iriomote Islands that there are no regular flights, unspoiled nature remains. There are only a dozen or so residents on the island, and the beautiful nature remains untouched.
