The mangrove cruise on the Nakama River was like being in another world. The time spent in the magnificent nature was soothing. After that, the buffalo car ride to Yubu Island was a tasteful and very enjoyable experience. On the island, we were able to visit the botanical garden and observe the chrysalis of the giant tiger butterflies, which made us feel the beauty of nature. Lunch was delicious and the entire tour was well balanced. We also stopped by the Iriomote Cat Conservation Center, which was a valuable experience.
I attended on a chilly day with a slightly cloudy sky. In conclusion, it was very nice. First of all, I heard that the ferry to Iriomotejima is sometimes fully booked depending on the season, but since it was a package tour that included everything, there was no need to worry about that as long as we made a reservation. The whole process from embarkation to disembarkation was very smooth, and I was able to experience many things in an easy-to-follow flow by simply placing the sticker on my chest that I received at the reception desk. When traveling alone, it is difficult to take care of ticket arrangements, boat time, and meals, but this tour was very efficient and allowed me to enjoy Iriomote for half a day. The captain of the mangrove cruise and bus, and the driver of the Yubu Island transfer also give us a talkative guide, so we can acquire a little knowledge. The food is also like "the local cuisine," so you can almost cover all the tastes of Yaeyama if you eat this lol. This time, I am glad I chose this tour because it was calm and I could enjoy a solid half day without getting wet or changing clothes. As a first time visitor to Ishigaki, especially during the season when long sleeves are necessary, it was a perfect sightseeing tour.
仲間川のマングローブクルーズは、とても壮大で圧倒されました！日本最大のマングローブ林をゆっくりクルーズしながら見る景色は素晴らしく、自然の力強さを感じました。その後、水牛車に乗って由布島へ行き、植物園や蝶々園で南国の植物と動物たちを観察。昼食も地元の食材を使った美味しい料理で、大満足でした！ツアーの内容が充実しており、1日で西表島と由布島の魅力を存分に楽しめました。
It was an extraordinary and valuable experience. There are many places to see on Yubu Island, and it is a pity that we did not have enough time to visit them all within the time allotted for the tour. The buffaloes seem to have various characteristics, and it was fun to listen to their stories. I wish I could go back to the train again.
It was truly a dream come true. The time spent enjoying the BBQ on the boat and watching the sunset was great. It was great to be able to go with friends. I would like to use it again next time!
This was my first time riding in a buffalo cart. The cows were clean and well cared for and peaceful. I also enjoyed the wildlife conservation center very much. The bus driver of the mangrove cruise and Iriomote Island was also a guide. He was very reliable and guided us through the various aspects of the island in an easy-to-understand manner, so we could fully enjoy the whole day.
