(1) Southern Gate Bridge Gate
The Southern Gate Bridge is a symbolic blue bridge that can be reached in about 5 minutes from the remote island terminal and the city center.
Only one side of the bridge is paved and stairs are maintained. Therefore, the bridge can be crossed not only by car but also by foot and bicycle.
It is also known as one of the most beautiful spots in Ishigaki Island with sunrise, sunset, starry sky, and night view of the city from the top.

(2) Meizo Bridge
Nagura Bridge is located in the western part of Ishigaki Island and spans Nagura Bay near Yaima Village.
Since the bridge spans Nagura Bay, the largest bay in Ishigaki Island, you can see the ocean below as you drive. There is a parking lot at the foot of the bridge, and from the parking lot, there are stairs to access to the Nagura ampal and mangrove.
At Nagura Ampal, you can see tidal flat creatures and wild birds unique to Ishigaki Island. It is the only place in Yaeyama designated for protection under the Ramsar Convention due to the abundance of living creatures.
Because Nagura Bay is a popular spot for viewing beautiful sunsets, you can watch the sun set into the sea.
Of course, the view from the bridge is wonderful, but the sunset from the bridge with the mangroves, ampulla, and spacious bay is very dynamic and impressive!

(iii) Blow-through bridge
Fukidori Bridge spans the river that runs through Hirakubo Peninsula, which protrudes into the northeastern part of Ishigaki Island. Fukidori Bridge is located near Itona Beach on Prefectural Road 79 toward the north.
In front of the Fukiatsu Bridge is the Fukiatsu Bridge Parking Lot, a free parking lot. From this parking lot, there are stairs that provide access to the mangrove river and down to the river. Therefore, Fuki-dori River activities often start from here.
At low tide, unusual roots of mangroves can be seen, as well as crabs and gobies jumping and walking on the mudflats.
