Ishigaki Island ”Waterfall” Tour

I took part in this tour while on a trip to Iriomote Island with my kids. The kids had a blast on our jungle expedition, paddling through the mangrove-lined river in a canoe toward Mizuo Falls. The snorkeling at the pristine white sands of Barasu Island was also absolutely beautiful, and as a parent, I felt completely at ease letting them play there. Since ferry tickets were included, there was no hassle with transportation, and it turned into a wonderful family memory.

The facilities were great. We were able to efficiently enjoy both fishing for long-armed shrimp and hiking to the waterfall in just half a day. The guide’s instructions were precise and practical. However, the mountain trails were a bit slippery, so you need to watch your step. I’m very satisfied.

I took a ferry from Ishigaki Island to join a tour where I could fully enjoy the great outdoors of Iriomote Island. I paddled a canoe down a mangrove-lined river and was awestruck by the spectacular view of Mizuochi Falls. Afterward, I crossed over to Yubu Island by water buffalo cart and enjoyed a leisurely time there. The ferry tickets were included, making it a wonderful itinerary that allowed for very efficient sightseeing.

The mangrove canoe trip to Mizuochi Falls was absolutely amazing!! Exploring the vast jungle was so exciting, and riding a water buffalo cart across to Yufu Island was such a moving experience—it really got me hyped up!!! Since the ferry ticket is included, getting around was super easy, and I had a blast playing all day long while screaming my head off!!! I highly recommend it!!!

Everything went smoothly. Since the ferry ticket was included in the package, I didn’t have to worry about getting to Iriomote Island, and I was able to efficiently tour the mangrove SUP area and Barasu Island. The free photo service was also very convenient. However, since we packed so much into one day, I ended up feeling a little tired.

First, we took a ferry from Ishigaki Island to Iriomote Island, then paddled a canoe down a mangrove-lined river toward the secluded Mizuiro Falls. Next, we soaked up plenty of negative ions from the waterfall and were completely overwhelmed by the power of nature (sweat). After that, we took a water buffalo cart across to Yubu Island and thoroughly enjoyed the laid-back island pace. It was a wonderful tour that allowed us to fully experience the charms of Iriomote Island in just one day.
