Ishigaki Island ”Waterfall” Tour

First, we paddled deep into the mangrove forest by canoe and were overwhelmed by the sheer power of Mizuiro Falls. Next, we crossed over to Yubu Island on a swaying water buffalo cart and fully enjoyed the unspoiled scenery of Okinawa. However, paddling the canoe took quite a bit of physical effort, so it would have been perfect if there had been more frequent breaks.

Paddling a canoe toward the waterfall was pretty fun, I guess. I got to ride a water buffalo cart, too, so I’d say it was worth the price. It did take a bit of energy, though, lol.

Paddling a canoe toward Mui Lok Waterfall was so much fun, lol. The feeling of being surrounded by the wild mangrove forest was insane—it totally got me hyped! The water buffalo cart ride was also super relaxing, and Taipa is the best—you absolutely have to go, lol.

I took this tour during my last visit to Iriomote Island, and this time I signed up for the package that included both Mizuochi Falls and Barasu Island. As always, the guide’s commentary was excellent, and I was able to fully enjoy the tranquility of the mangroves and the beauty of this “miracle island” to my heart’s content. No matter how many times I come, it never fails to live up to my expectations.

Paddling a canoe toward Mui Lok Waterfall was seriously such an adventure—it was so much fun, lol. The water buffalo cart ride afterward was also really relaxing and soothing, and with the ferry ticket included, Taipa is the best! You should definitely go, lol.
