What Is "Koto-Mori"?

Hibanomori is said to have been a signal fire site where, in the days before telephones and telegraphs, smoke was lit at the watchtower on Ishigaki Island whenever a foreign ship arrived, and the news was relayed via the Nanekami watchtower on Iriomote Island.

It is about 4 meters tall, and from the top you can enjoy a panoramic view of Hateruma Island and the ocean.

There is a compass rose at the top of the stone wall.

How to Play "Court Mori"
