Things to Do at Inoda Auto Campground
At a campground, of course, you go camping!
There are three campgrounds on Ishigaki Island, but this one is a hidden gem among them, so you can enjoy a very quiet camping experience surrounded by nature.
Details of Inoda Auto Camp Ground

Inoda Auto Campground is located on the north coast of Ishigaki Island, along the coast just north of New Ishigaki Airport on National Route 390.
As mentioned above, there’s a large tire sculpture near the entrance, so you’ll have no trouble finding it.
The campground features areas where you can pitch a tent anywhere you like, as well as areas for RV camping where you can park your car or RV right next to your tent, making it very popular.
Each lot has access to electricity and water, ensuring a comfortable living experience.
The facility is very well-equipped, featuring a communal kitchen and laundry room, and offering rentals of tents, coolers, and other items.
You can rent items for up to two weeks, making them perfect for long-term stays!

In addition, the facility features a plaza and playground equipment, making it a great choice for family camping trips with children.
You can play in the plaza or on the playground equipment, or enjoy swimming and fishing in the ocean right across from the plaza.
Because it is located in the northeastern part of the country, you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise in the early morning.
It's also nice to wake up early in the morning and take a leisurely stroll along the white-sand beach.
Recommended Sightseeing Spots Near Inoda Auto Campground
Tamatorizaki Observatory

The Tamatorizaki Observation Deck, located just north of the Inoda Auto Campground along the coastline, is one of the island’s most spectacular scenic spots.
From the observation deck built on a small hill, you can look out over the emerald-green sea and see the coral reefs on the seafloor.
Not only the ocean, but you can also take in a panoramic view of Mount Banna and Ihara Bay.

Inoda Fishing Port

Inoda Fishing Port is located just south of the Inoda Auto Campground along the coastline.
Although there aren't many tourists here since it's a fishing port, it's a great spot to watch the beautiful sunrise and is also popular as a place to go fishing.
Glass-bottom boat cruises depart from this fishing port.
I highly recommend it because you can observe marine life without even going into the water!

mountain at the bottom of the Siberian mountain range

Mt. Nosoko is the second-highest mountain on the island, rising to an elevation of 284 meters to the west of the Inoda Auto Campground.
From the mountaintop, there are no obstructions to the view, so you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the island.
Subtropical flora and fauna thrive here, allowing visitors to observe creatures that cannot be found on the mainland.
It has been selected as one of the "100 Best Islands" and has been designated as a national park.
Mount Nosoko is the second-highest mountain on the island, but since it isn’t particularly high, you can enjoy a casual hike there.
There are two trekking routes up Mt. Nosoko: one that involves a one-hour hike from the base of the mountain, and another where you drive to the 8th station and hike the remaining 80 meters.
Since many people choose the latter option, we recommend driving part of the way if you want to enjoy a casual hike up Mt. Nosoko.
Mt. Nosoko is also a romantic spot associated with the “Mape Legend”—a tragic love story—and it is said that touching the Mape Rock at the summit will improve your luck in love.
Be sure to visit one of Ishigaki Island’s top romantic spots with your special someone.
