What Is Gunkan-iwa?

This is a large rock visible from the Sanninu Plateau observation deck in the eastern part of Yonaguni Island. It’s just as famous on Yonaguni Island as Tachigami Rock, but since Tachigami Rock makes a bigger impression, you should visit that one first if possible. lol

It is called "Warship Rock" because the sight of waves crashing against the rock and sending up spray resembles a warship sailing through rough seas.
