Follow the road northwest for a while. Turn right at the intersection where Momobayashi-ji Nishi-dori joins the road.
If you turn right at the intersection after the Torin-ji Intersection, you'll see Torin-ji on your right.
Tōrin-ji Temple, established in 1614 after the Satsuma Domain made a proposal to King Shōnei, is the oldest wooden structure in Okinawa Prefecture.
In the same year, the Gongen-dō Hall was also built, and in 1737, two Nio guardian statues were erected at the mountain gate.
This Nio statue is a prefecturally designated tangible cultural property and is known as the oldest wooden sculpture in Okinawa.
