About the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan’s VERA Ishigaki Island Observatory
This is a facility affiliated with the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, located near the Nagura Dam.The radio telescope is 23 meters tall and 20 meters in diameter; it receives radio waves from space and studies the Milky Way’sWe are measuring the positions and motions of stars.
