与那国島の海底遺跡

海底遺跡とは

与那国島の北部、新川鼻の約50m先の海底で1986年に発見された、周囲数百メートルに及ぶ巨大な石の構造物。発見から現在に至るまで調査が続けられているが、ムー大陸の遺跡説や古代文明跡説、地殻変動によるものなど諸説あり、未だ謎が多い不思議なスポット。人工的に切り出したような跡や、人がちょうど歩くことができそうな通路状の隙間、階段状の壁、柱が立っていたと思わせる穴など、人が加工しなければできないかのように思われる形状のものも多く、自然現象でできたとは思えない神秘的な雰囲気を醸し出しています。ダイビングで実際に潜って見たり、グラスボート（半潜水艇）でも見ることができます。グラスボートはワンドリンク・送迎付で、約1時間のツアーで6,000円です。
