About the Sanninu-dai Observation Deck

Located on the east coast of Yonaguni Island, south of Higashizaki, this observation deck offers views of sheer cliffs and the “Gunkan-iwa” rock formation. It was newly constructed in 2015 to replace the previous observation deck. (The path leading to the old observation deck is at risk of landslides, so it has been cordoned off with ropes and is off-limits.) It is a spot offering a spectacular view where you can look down as if peering into the massive Gunkan-iwa rock formation.
