与那国島の中心部付近にある、ティンダハナタの遊歩道にある石碑。サンアイイソバは１５世紀末から１６世紀初めにかけて当地を治めていた女性の領主で、２ｍの巨躯だったという言い伝えもある豪傑。この付近に住居を構えていたといわれています。サンアイイソバは巨体と怪力で知られていましたが、与那国島を治める名君の一面もあり、4人の兄弟を島内に配置して治めていたり、巨大な草蛙を海に流し、島には巨人がいると外部に思わせて、敵が島に近寄らないように図ったとも言われています。
