What is Mt.
A 217-meter-high mountain located north of Ishigaki City.
Many tourists visit because of its location, which is only a 15-minute drive from downtown Ishigaki Island.
Banna Park is located at the foot of the mountain, and the summit can be reached via the Banna Skyline.
From the observatory, the view of Nagura Bay, Taketomi Island, and the island shadows of Iriomote Island can be seen, and the scenery is truly spectacular!
It offers a panoramic view that is hard to believe that the mountain is only about 200 meters above sea level. It is a place of relaxation not only for tourists but also for local people.
Directions to Mt. Banna
It is located approximately 20 minutes by car from Shin-Ishigaki Airport and 15 minutes by car from Ishigaki Port Remote Island Terminal.
(1) Exit from Shin-Ishigaki Airport and head south on Route 390. After crossing the river, turn right at the 6th T-junction.
(2) Follow the road for a while and turn left at the intersection where Route 209 merges at the end of the road.
Turn right at the first Y-junction after crossing the Miyara River. Follow the road and go straight at the intersection where it merges with Route 87.
After a while, you will see Banna Park on your left, and if you enter from Zone C and follow the road, you will reach Mt.
When accessing from Ishigakijima Island Terminal
(1) Exit the Remote Islands Terminal, turn right and go north along Route 87. When you see the water purification plant on your right, turn left at the second T-junction.
(2) Go straight and you will see Banna Park on your left at the Y-junction, turn left and follow the road to Mt.
How to play at Mt. Banna
There are many facilities and open spaces in Banna Park, located within Mt. Banna, and there are also athletic facilities for children to enjoy.
Sunset viewing from the observatory in the evening, night tours (stargazing and night safaris), and the viewing of Yaeyama fireflies from March to May are also popular.

The vast 2.92 million square meters of Banna Park has roads set aside for sightseeing, and visitors are free to wander around the park.

Nagura Amparu is a tidal flat area near the mouth of Nagura Bay, the largest bay in Ishigaki Island.
Mangroves grow in clusters on both banks of the Nagura River, which flows into Nagura Bay, providing a habitat for a variety of creatures.
It is also a popular sunset spot, with many people enjoying the sunset on the horizon while SUPing or canoeing in the evening.

Maesedake Observatory
Maesedake Observatory is an observatory built on the summit of Maesedake, and is a spectacular spot deep in the mountains with a panoramic view of the island.
Because of its secluded location, it is such a hidden spot that even some locals do not know about it.
In many cases, even the car navigation system of a rental car will not be able to search, so we recommend taking a cab or using a map application.

Ishigakijima limestone cave
Ishigakijima limestone cave is the largest limestone cave in Ishigaki Island, and the collaboration of white glowing stalactites and illuminated decoration is a beautiful spot.
