What Is the "Westernmost Point of Japan" Monument?
In the western part of Yonaguni Island,Nishizaki LighthouseLocated right next to it is a marker indicating Japan’s westernmost point (24°26′58″ N, 122°56′01″ E). It is the only one of Japan’s four extreme points—north, south, east, and west—that is open to the general public.

On clear days, you can sometimes see Taiwan. The distances to various cities are engraved on the back of the monument.

It is located about a 15-minute drive from Yonaguni Airport and about a 3-minute drive (via regular roads) from Kubura Port.
To get to Yonaguni Island from Ishigaki Island, you'll need to take a plane or a ferry.
