I joined this tour because I was attracted by the fact that I could experience both mangrove SUP and snorkeling. I think it is a luxury to be able to experience the difference between the ocean and the river in one day.
The jungle at night was darker than I had imagined, and the plants and creatures illuminated by the lights were fresh. The starry sky was also blessed with good weather and could be fully enjoyed with the naked eye. I was able to listen to explanations in a quiet environment, which deepened my understanding of nature.
I chose this tour because it offered both ocean and island sightseeing in one day. I was impressed not only by snorkeling at the Phantom Island but also by leisurely walking in the streets of Taketomi Island. There was a lot of moving around, but the tour guide was very attentive and we did not get lost.
I had heard that the Phantom Island is weather dependent, but we were lucky enough to be able to land on the island that day. The white sand and shallow waters were very beautiful, and the boat snorkeling was safe and comfortable. Overall, the tour was well-paced.
The mangroves of the Miyara River are much larger in scale than I had imagined, and the time spent slowly progressing by canoe was pleasant. It was more like nature observation than a sightseeing spot, and I was able to spend a relaxing time. We also had our pictures taken in a natural atmosphere.
The mangroves in the morning were impressive because the wind was calm and we could feel the sounds of nature as we proceeded. In the afternoon snorkeling, the color of the ocean changed dramatically, and it was nice to be able to experience a completely different landscape in one day. It was not physically demanding.
