Although manta rays are natural creatures and you may not always be able to see them, we will sail to points where there is a high probability of encountering manta rays, rather than the usual half-day snorkeling points.

No worries for beginners

This is a compact, half-day course that includes Manta Point and is suitable for beginners and those who are not confident in their physical strength.

Manta rays swim around in shallow water (5 to 10 meters deep), so snorkeling is sufficient for observation.

There will be a detailed lecture from the guide.

For those coming by car
Approximately 30 minutes from New Ishigakijima Airport
Approximately 40 minutes from Kabira Bay
→If you are coming by rental car, please search for "Sakishima Business Hotel" in your car navigation system.
A staff member with a YDS☆Field sign will be waiting for you. We will guide you to the free parking lot after meeting you.

Transportation

We will pick you up at your accommodation or at a location of your choice. We will inform you of the pick-up time the evening before.

*We recommend that guests with rental cars meet directly at the site.

Clothing and personal belongings

*T-shirts and shorts are also acceptable.

*You may bring valuables, cell phones, cameras, etc. on board, but we ask that you do so as sparingly as possible.

*Please bring a windbreaker or similar as it can be chilly.

*If you bring your own drinks, you are welcome to drink after snorkeling (no food or alcohol will be provided by the restaurant). We will introduce you to a driving service.

*If you are pregnant or have a serious medical condition, we are sorry, but you will not be allowed to participate (nor will you be allowed to board the boat only).

*We will notify you in advance if we determine that we cannot safely carry out the tour due to poor sea conditions.

*It takes about 50 minutes to reach Manta Point. If you are worried about getting seasick, we recommend that you take anti-sickness medicine.

*Wearing a life jacket is mandatory.

Manta Point Direct Condition

*From the Ishigakijima District Meteorological Observatory forecast,Easterly to southwesterly winds.Wave height up to 2.5 mThe tour will be held under the following conditionsEven if the boat departs, it may not be able to go to Manta Point due to sudden weather changes such as gusty winds, heavy rain, or thunderstorms during the cruise. In such a case, the boat will be directed to another point and the price will be ¥6,000 per person.

*Whether or not you can go to Manta PointThe evening beforeWe will contact you to let you know if we can go to Manta Point. If we cannot go to Manta Point, we will do regular snorkeling.

*Manta rays are natural creatures and are not always seen. Please note that no refunds will be made in the event that you do not see any manta rays.

*Manta Point may experience heavy currents at times. Upon arrival at Manta Point, our staff will check the current. If the current is too strong, the dive site will be moved to another location.

*Manta Point is the most popular point on Ishigaki Island, and the vessel traffic can be heavy. For safety reasons, please follow the instructor's instructions.
