What is Ishigaki Port Terminal?
Ishigaki Port Terminal is called the gateway to the Yaeyama Islands.
Boats to each of the outlying islands depart from here.
There is a contact point for shipping companies and travel agencies, and a selection of tours around the islands.
Get ready for a tour of the islands here!
In the spacious waiting area, there are also travel information facilities, restaurants, and general stores to help pass the time until the ship.
We recommend making reservations online, as it is generally not possible to book tours on the same day at the counter.
Access from Shin-Ishigaki Airport
From Shin-Ishigaki Airport to Ishigaki Port Terminal, where many hotels and the city center are located, there are three common patterns: bus, cab, and rental car.
Decide according to the time and content of the trip and the amount of money!
scheduled bus
Take the "Airport Line" for about 30 to 37 minutes and get off at the "Terminal" stop.
500-540 yen.
The buses run approximately every 15 minutes.
cab
Approximately 30 minutes from the cab stand in front of the arrival lobby.
From ¥3,000 and up.
It is easy to use, with a starting fare of 460 yen and up.
rent-a-car
There is a rental car information center on the first floor of the airport terminal (rental cars can be rented on the spot, so no advance reservations are necessary except during peak season).
After renting a car, go to the parking lot in front of the remote island terminal.

How to get to the islands & more
To cross over to each island, take a high-speed boat from Ishigaki Port Remote Islands Terminal (ferries to Hateruma and Yonaguni Islands are boarded from the opposite shore).
Paid parking is conveniently available around the terminal.
In addition to ferries, Yonaguni Island is the only island in the Yaeyama Archipelago that can be reached by air.

Convenient stores & spots at the remote island terminal
ATM
Most ATMs on each island except Ishigaki Island are only available at post offices, and their hours of operation are limited on Sundays and holidays....
Three ATMs are located at the central entrance of the terminal, and it is safe to prepare here.
coin-operated locker
There are a total of four other locations in the terminal, including the central entrance.
You can also check in your boat for free or for a fee when you purchase a boarding ticket or participate in a tour of the islands at each shipping company.
Pamphlet
Activity operator brochures for the islands are available at the central entrance and at the stores of the various shipping companies.
Rooftop Observation Deck
The observation deck on the third floor of the terminal offers an excellent view of Taketomi Island and the high-speed boats heading for the islands.
It is a spot that few people visit!
souvenir from the island
A souvenir store with all the attractions of Taketomi Town and Yonaguni Town.
The store offers about 300 kinds of food products made from island ingredients, rare handmade goods, one-of-a-kind accessories, and cosmetics from fantastic island sake.

Nakamura Umiya
From bathing goods to fishing gear, sunscreen, and other items essential for sea fun and sightseeing on the islands, the store is packed with a wide variety of goods.
The main restaurant "Nakamura Tsurigu" is also located a 3-minute walk away.

T-shirt store with original Yaeyama-themed designs.
Sunglasses, swimsuits, and sunscreen are also available.
Soba Restaurant KUWACHI
Directly managed by a fisherman.
