The waters around Phantom Island (official name: Hamashima) are shallow, so even small children can spend time there safely.

Beginners Welcome★Experience Diving Tour

We dive at shallow depths (3 to 6 meters) for 30 to 40 minutes. We will take you to the calm spots with beautiful corals and colorful fishes around Ishigaki and Taketomi Islands.

Before diving, we provide careful practice and explanations so that even those who are not good swimmers can relax and enjoy diving without feeling anxious or nervous!

Frequently asked questions about this plan

Q. What is the difference between the two?Is there a camera rental or underwater photo service?

The staff will swim with you underwater with a camera and take pictures of you there. The photos will be given free of charge to those who wish to have them taken.

Q. Do you provide transportation?

Yes, we do. We will ask you when you apply, so please let us know where you will be staying. If you are far from the city center such as Kabira area or northern part of Ishigaki Island, please come by rental car or bus.

Q. What kind of clothes should I wear?

Since we will be going to the ocean, it is preferable to wear clothes that can get wet. Please wear your bathing suit and clothes in advance. Shoes should be avoided, and flip-flops or other wet clothes should be worn.

Q. Can I drive a rental car?

Yes, we can. There are parking spaces both at the store and at the port. If you are coming by rental car and do not know where to meet, please contact us on the spot.

Q. Can I take a shower after the tour?

Hot water is available on the ship or at the port. After the tour, you can return to your hotel and take a quick bath to wash off the salt and sand.

Q. Can beginners participate?

Yes, it is okay.
This "Experience Diving Boat Tour" is a course "for beginners".
No knowledge, swimming ability, or diving license card is required. We will explain and practice slowly on the day.

Q. Where do you go by boat?

Mainly around Ishigaki and Taketomi Islands. Since the points of interest vary depending on the sea conditions of the day, the standard travel time is about 5 to 20 minutes.

Q. Can I participate alone?

Yes, of course it is possible.

He used a drawing board to teach us how to breathe and about the marine life in the ocean, which made us feel very comfortable and excited to enjoy the experience. We used this site in July 2022. My wife and I have licenses and my child was diving for the first time, so we chose to try diving. All three of us were satisfied with the results! There were 5 of us and we were divided into 3 and 2 groups, and while one group was diving, the rest snorkeled in turns. My husband and I had our first diving experience on our honeymoon. Neither my husband nor I have a diving license and it was our first time diving, but we were carefully taught in the limited time of half a day and were able to fully enjoy the sea of Ishigaki Island! I am a beginner in diving, but the instructor gave me a good lecture before the dive so I could enjoy the dive without drowning. I was so engrossed in seeing so many fish and turtles that I lost track of time. I lost track of time so fast, but since it was my first time, I was exhausted when I got out of the water. LOL! This is my second time to Ishigaki Island. Last time I participated in the glass boat at Kabira Bay, but this time I came on a trip to try diving! It was my first time diving, but even as a beginner, I was able to enjoy it because of the careful instruction. I was very satisfied to see the coral and tropical fish by diving and also to go to the island of illusion. I will join the next trip! I want to see manta rays next time.
