What is Gutakechidei?

This historic site is located right next to the Higashi Farm Wind Farm. At first glance, it looks like a simple stone enclosure, but it’s actually the ruins of a watchtower built during the Ryukyu Kingdom era to monitor the sea. An information board describes what life was like back then. Since Higashizaki, where Gutekuchi-dei is located, offers such a great view, it was probably the perfect spot for keeping watch!
It's about a 25-minute drive from the airport, and since there's nothing else around, you should be able to find the place right away.
