The "conch shrimp," the largest of the long-armed shrimps.

The "Konjin prawn" is a large species of shrimp endemic to Okinawa, reaching a maximum length of 30 cm or more.

8:00	12:30	Pick-up & local meeting ➡︎ You can choose between pick-up and drop-off or local meeting. For local meeting, please arrive at the Yonehara Beach parking lot at 8:00am (12:30pm). Departure for trekking! ➡︎ Take a commemorative photo at the entrance to the Arakawa River and off you go!
8:30	13:00	Arrival at the point and departure for trekking! ➡︎ Take a commemorative photo at the entrance to the Arakawa River and off you go!
8:45	13:15	Trekking start ➡︎ Proceed with care through the jungle to the shrimp fishing point.
9:15	13:45	Arrival at fishing point & lecture ➡︎After a careful lecture, the fishing begins!
9:30	14:00	Start fishing! ➡︎Fishing for tenagaebi while changing several points. Set your sights on the shrimp while watching the shrimp in the water!
11:30	16:00	End of fishing! ➡︎ Once some shrimp are caught, the tour ends. Shrimp caught are basically released to protect the environment. Watch your step as you descend the mountain path.
12:00	16:30	Pick-up and drop-off or local dismissal.

I joined this tour with my child. The trek to the waterfall is a bit of a walk, but the kids had a lot of fun fishing for long-handled shrimps. We were able to make good family memories in nature.
